Painting the Drift: how we built Aetheris' sky
The sky is the game's protagonist. Here's how the art team spent seven weeks painting a horizon that never sits still.

A thousand years after the fall of Aethon, its continents still drift on the ether. Play a Wanderer who reads the wind, fights on the seams between worlds, and decides what the next age listens to.
Aetheris is a single-player action-RPG built around momentum combat — parry, dash, and weave through enemies that read your rhythm as clearly as you read theirs. You'll explore twelve drifting continents held together by ether currents, each one authored by a different lead artist on the team.
Every choice you make in the Song of Passage — an in-world reputation system — changes which factions will speak to you, which regions rise into your route, and which stories the sky tells about your Wanderer when the credits roll.
Everything in Aetheris ladders up to one question: what will the sky remember about you? These are the pillars that shape the answer.
Vault, glide, tether, and slip between drifting islands. Traversal is combat, and combat is traversal.
Parries and dodges build the Ether Meter. Spend it on techniques painted by the game's own art team.
Continents drift. Which regions you can reach, and in what order, is shaped by the Song of Passage.
Four companions with their own routes. They'll leave, return, or watch — and none of them lie.
Bring a friend through any region. Their choices leave marks in your Song, and yours in theirs.
The adaptive OST reweaves in real time. Late-game, you unlock the ability to shape it directly.
